We started a facebook page for our small company. How can

Resolved Question:

We started a facebook page for our small company. How can we turn our profile page into a fan page. It appears we may have set-up the XIKAR facebook page incorrect.

We have fan pages inside the Facebook but we have 900+ friends in the profile page that we don't want to lose.

Can you look at our Facebook page and give us some suggestions to maximize our connections, interaction and communication to our customers and consumers, etc? Please help

Hi, and thanks for your question.

Unfortunately, facebook does not allow for a page of any type to be "converted" to another. This includes a profile, group or fan page. This has happened to many other people as well, and it is just not an option that facebook has available right now. You have a couple of options--you can continue to use your profile page since you have such a strong following. A little more upkeep would be required to approve friend request, etc., but you wouldn't lose any info. You could also create a fan page for your company and slowly shift the momentum that way. Use every space on your profile for a link to your fan page and tell your friends that you'll be transitioning to that and to join it, as the profile page will be closing in the future. I know it's not the easiest thing to do, but facebook doesn't allow any second chances when you initially create a page style. Hope this information helps. Please click accept, or press reply if you need more info. Thanks!
