I have an old Vogue pattern for a Coolie coat knitted in Sunbeam

Resolved Question:

I have an old Vogue pattern for a Coolie coat knitted in Sunbeam Shantung (from 1934)
Could you please let me know what ply this would be in today's wools. It is knitted in
double yarn on 5 and a half mm. needles, in a linen stitch. I would really like to have a
go! Many thanks. Agnes.

Hi Agnesa,

Shantung yarn was 65% silk, 35% wool. Your local yarn store should be able to find you something in that blend. Otherwise, click here. That site has many different colors for you.
