Is it possible to have a key used to open an Industrial/Commerical

Resolved Question:

Is it possible to have a key used to open an Industrial/Commerical product (i.e. a Toilet Tissue Dispenser for a department store restroom)made if I know the key's serial number instead of having a copy of the key with me to be reproduced?

When a duplicate key is made, it's configuration is 'copied' mechanically by a machine, so you would need the actual key in order to duplicate it. A serial number would not be useful in reproducing a key.

I hope this helped.
