Hello, Alex, and thanks for your question.

While the internet may seem to diminish the role/effectiveness of talent agents, as more information is now available online, there's no doubt that effective agents will maintain their client base, due to their own specific personal skills and experience, which cannot be duplicated by internet information availability.

A good talent agent can use the internet to enhance his/her performance to do an even better job for his clients, as databases pertaining to job availability, and being able to contact companies more easily, to exchange information on behalf of a client, will streamline the manner in which information is transferred more efficiently.

There will always be a need for talent agents and their personal communication skills with clients and prospective employers, of that there is no doubt; however, the internet can be an integral tool in talent agents attaining easier access to information which will benefit their clients.
