2x^2 + 5x + 5 = 0

using the ax^2 + bx + c = 0 form and applying it to the equation in question, we find that
a = 2
b = 5
c = 5

now substituting a, b and c in the quadratic root equation graphic

you find there are no real solutions to th equation because the expression (b^2-4ac) is 25-40=-15 which is negative.

Hope this helps.
