Here are a number of research resources on the general topic of "The Goal of the Martial Arts". As you read, I recommend you note the main points of each article in outline form.

When you have collected 12 to 15 main points, pupt them in whatever order makes sense to you. If it were my paper I would put the obvious, tangible goals first (strength training, technique training, that sort of thing) and the more intangible aspects last (mastery of self, practice of discipline, "all progress is incremental", "be all that you can be", "quiet your mind", that sort of thing).

With 12 to 15 main points, if you can write just under half a page on each topic, your paper will be five pages.

All progress is incremental!

Martial arts are studied for various reasons including combat skills, fitness, self-defense, sport, self-cultivation (meditation), mental discipline, character development and building self-confidence. A practitioner of martial arts is referred to as a martial artist..." Lots more to read here.
