Can i highlight synthetic hair

This answer was rated:

I have a lovely hairpiece that I would love to wear but unfortunetly it is slightly darker than my my hair and blending is a problem. I have brown highlighted hair and I would like to know if its possible to highlight synthetic hair and if so, what is the best method to use to do this?
HelloCustomerand welcome to JustAnswer!

Hair dyes for natural human hair will not work on synthetic hair. You
can use RIT fabric dye ( dye or Tintex fabric

You should first try it on a small piece and see if the color and tone
is what you want. Dissolve 4 oz. dye in 1 gallon (128 oz.) warm water,
and immerse the piece you want to try. Let process until desired color
is reached. Then follow
instructions on care sheet for washing and conditioning.
