Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

I found an article that goes into depth about this Hall-Edwards inheritance. It's considered to be something of an urban legend because, to date, no one has been able to claim this "supposed" inheritance because he/she doesn't have the proof to back up such a claim.

If someone could ever prove that they are descendents of Hall and Edwards and inheritors of their estate, then that person would inherit billions of dollars and own the land ("77 acres of prime Manhattan real estate") upon which the following well-known buildings reside: "Trinity Church, the Woolworth Building, the World Trade Center (This answers your question about whether Hall-Edwards owned the trade centers.), New York University, and Washington Square Park."

Here's the website I found the article on: http://www.ancestry.com/learn/library/article.aspx?article=2495

Check out the site. It goes into great detail about the history and geneology of the Hall-Edwards estate and the people who've tried to place a claim upon it in the past.

I hope that helps.

I had that information, I have been working on this case for 2 yrs. I have gone to new york sereval times, and I have a lawyer in Manhattan. The Edwards do own the land, and Trinity Church know what they have done, I will soon get everything together and we will go to court. Trinity Church says the Queen in 1705 gave them the land, I have prof that came from England years ago and it is certfied, that the Queen in 1705 gave them 1 acre, that is where the Church is built. I was hopeing thatt you may have information that I did not have. Thank you Customer (name blocked for privacy)

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Frankly, I don't understand what you are wanting. You asked for information, and I provided some. Are you wanting definitive proof about whether Edwards owned this land or not? (It sounds like you have all the proof that you need already if you've been working on this for two years.)

If that is the case, I sincerely doubt that I'm going to find that information by cruising on the Internet.

Perhaps if you could tell me exactly what it is that you're wanting, then maybe I will be better able to help you.

Dear Customer (name blocked for privacy),

Here are a few more websites that might help you:

This one goes into a lot of detail--it is "supposedly" written by a descendant of Edwards (and   a genealogist): http://www.users.bigpond.com/msn/simcomserv/edwards_estate.htm

This website talks about a book having been written on this subject. Since the author has obviously devoted a lot of time to this subject, perhaps you can contact him and see if he has come across any information that you may have missed: http://www.thetaylorfamily.com/Edwards.html
