Hu Brendan, Thank you for your quick answer, I just want to ask you a question or two,

1) DO YOU THINK PATRICK that delivered the petition to the criminal court on behalf of his BROTHER was his UNCLE??

2) Do you think the other names on your list are his uncles and aunts?

3) Are there No other children registered to Jno Doyle and Mary A ( I think A is for Ann, as his first daughter's name was Mary Ann ) O Neill?

Maree

Hi Maree,

I presume you have researched the CRF file in the National Archives, I think Patrick was his brother.

The births 1850, 1860, 1870 are decendents of the Doyle family Ormond Market, it looks like the family were living there for over 170 years 1870. It looks like they were a very large family. Michael was a tailor, he should turn up in Guild records, his father John was probably a tailor as well.

The records are very hit and miss, certain years are missing.

I cannot find any other children listed to John Doyle and Mary Ann O'Neill exactly, there are a good few early records that just state parents John & Mary.

Brendan

Normally it is a father, mother or Parish Priest that has applied for clemency, I suspect the parents were dead by 1824.
