I am looking for information about the Keys (Keyes) family

Resolved Question:

I am looking for information about the Keys (Keyes) family from Northern Ireland (Augh'alagne or Fermanaugh county) Andrew Keys born abt 1800 married Elizabeth Cullen born abt 1802. I think they had 8 children Wiilam, Andrew, XXXXX, XXXXX, Anna, Margaret John and Elizabeth. Andrew siblings were William Keys born 1798 Coolaness, Derryvilan and Anne Keys (1809) and David Keys (1810). I don't know who his parents are or if this information is completely accurate. Any info would be great. I am a direct decendent of Thomas Keyes who married Mary Jane Redmond in Ontario Canada. He arrived in New York we think in 1854 and in the fall of 1854 came to Ontario Canada.

Hi Jacki,

Your Keys family originated in Coolaness, Andrews grandfather was most probably Hugh

Andrew was the son of either XXXXX, XXXXX, Hugh or James.

Andrew ended up with a farm in Moynaghan North, I have included the 1901 Irish census

The 1773 will for Hugh Keys exists, but it is not online, it must be researched in person at PRONI, Belfast
