I have been trying to find the child of Alfred George Heard 1893, and his wife, my aunt Caroline May Godfrey. I have a picture of her holding a young baby adressed to my uncle Will, which was taken on the 17th April 1917. I believe this child to be called Ella, but the name may be incorrect. How can I find out if , or when , they had children? Georgina.
Already Tried: 3 different sites , sending for birth certificates that have ch of different first names but same date of birth and mother Godfrey. Mothers name did not match that of my aunt
Hi, Welcome to Just Answer and thanks for your question.
Where were they married and where would their child have been born? What is her date of birth?
Did the child survive to adulthood? Was she born to them or was she adopted?
Thanks for filling in the holes in the narrative.
All the best,
Jim
They were married in st MARKS CHURCH IN lONDON. AND IT IS MY BELIEF THAT THE CHILD DID LIVE TO ADULTHOOD IN THE MENTAL ESTABLISHMENT.
What was her date of birth?
I believe it to be 1917, but it could have been anywhere from 1915 to 1917, and I am sure she would have been born in London, but maybe I am making an assumption on the place.
Thanks for the information. Let me see what I can find for you.
I have to go out to get my groceriies now, will be about an hour, how long will you be to look for answers?I don't want you to waste time trying to get me in the next hour. after that I will be home all night,.
Not a problem. You can get your groceries and if I need anything else we can continue this later. I may be awhile researching.
Enjoy your day!
I am back at the house now and will be here until the morning.Out in the morning until 12,30 (noon) and then will be in for the rest of the week.
Thankyou for doing this research for me, I have done a great deal of work on this and come up with no result yet.
I show her as
Alice E M HEARDBirth 1918 in Bermondsey, London, England Death in mental establishment
Is this what you were needing?
More info on her shows a different possible record. Is this one that you searched before?
yes ; the records you have shown me are the ones that I have come up with before, andSOMEHOW I found the mothers name was Ethel, and that is NOT correct for me, because my aunt was definitely Caroline May. Have you different records that substantiate Alice as Ella, and that she was in a mental establishment?Otherwise this information is not relevant for me.I definitly need to know that Alfred and Caroline are the parents of this child. No doubts!
Georgina.
GEORGINA.
Sorry Georgina there are no additioanl records. I understand your concern but I can only report what I can find, (don't shoot the messenger) and if the record doesn't list the specifics then there is no way for me to know. I wish I could find more for you.
If these are not the records you are looking for then they are currently unavailable online. The best way to find them is done by hiring a professional to go to the archives and repositories of England or in Salt Lake City, Utah where the records might exist either in original form or microfilm. You can find a reputable genealogist at http://www.apgen.org/ , http://expertgenealogy.com/ , or at http://www.progenealogists.com/ that can help you with this additional search if needed. Be aware though that Progenealogists.com will charge you a minimum of $1900 upfront with no assurance of finding you the information you seek.Is there anything else that I can help you with? When you are satisfied at a ranking of 3 or higher I will mark this question as answered for you.
Iam really not satisfied with the information that you have given me because I had already found that easily for myself, and Istill feel unsure about her and feel my question has not been answered. I really do not feel happy about paying &28 for something Ifound easily and unsubstantiated by myself or by you.
That's why I didn't mark the question as answered. You really need to learn that it wastes people's valuable time when you withhold information in a search like this. You could have easily said that you had viewed that information before and found it to be in error or that it had the name Ethel Godfrey as the mother.
I really can't help you anymore. You may request a full refund so there is no loss to you but I have lost time and money and get nothing from you or Just Answer for my trouble. So the really only person disatisfied iin this transaction is me.
Have a fine day!
Sir,
I am sorry this has turned out to be a waste of your time, but I feel your rudeness to be most upsetting. You are not the only one that has lost out, because I still have not found a close relative and I was sure you were going to be very helpful. I shall not use services such as this again, but trust in my little laptop , as being disabled I cannot go out on my own for research purposes
