My family history research has come to a screaching halt at my Great-Great Grandparents. XXXXX XXXXX, only info available is: born 1834. US Civil War Union soldier, NY 7th Heavy Artillery, killed in Battle of Totopotomoy Creek, VA on May 30 1864. Edwards widow was Emeline Cooper, born around 1833,last known residence, according to 1880 Federal Census, was Halfmoon, Saratoga County, NY. I need to know parents of both at least, to continue. Any additional information on previous generations would be helpful.
