I have no other information about him. He had a son , also Robert, born around 1818.
Thanks Coral for the additional information.
The above records are what is available in Ireland with regard to possible matches found in Irish records databases. They are indexes of the records. To view any record in additional detail it costs a fee to open paying 25 credits. (about $5 to $10 depending on the exchange rate). If you would like to view these in detail you can by going to www.rootsireland.ie . The majority of the records are church records since many of the civil records were lost in a fire. Baptismal records are the closest record available for most birth records since these were the closest record to the actual birth. Not everyone baptized was in the same year as their birth but most were.
The closest record available for a XXXXX XXXXXnn born around 1818 would be the record of the Church Baptism Linn Robert 1807 Co. Derry.
The Griffiths land valuation records shows who either leased land or were the owners of the land. These records are free to view at www.rootsireland.ie but only cover years in the mid 1800's. If your XXXXX XXXXXnn had land then in Derry this would be a record of it and could give you more information on him.
We could not find any additional information for you with our search. If these are not the records you are looking for then they are currently not digitlized. The best way to find them is done by hiring a professional to go to the archives and repositories of Ireland or in Salt Lake City, Utah where the records might exist either in original paper form or microfilm.
You can find a reputable genealogist at http://www.apgen.org/ , http://expertgenealogy.com/ , or at http://www.progenealogists.com/ that can help you with this additional search if needed. Be aware though that Progenealogists.com will charge you a minimum of $1900 upfront with no assurance of finding you the information you seek.Is there anything else that I can help you with? Hi Coral,
Could you please respond and let me know the level of service you have received or would be willing to give me on this work for you...3, 4, or 5?
You may not be aware of this but I am an independent expert and I don't get a salary from Just Answer. I only get paid a portion of what you pay Just Answer if you accept, and now (new company policy) only when you give me a "Positive Rating" of OK service or better.
So your feedback is important to me. Please let me know what your rating for me would be. Thanks!
All the best,
Jim
I don't think I am any further advance with this answer.
Coral,
To further advance with the answer you have to choose which records to view in detail by going to www.rootsireland.ie . I am prohibited from doing that for you so you have to decide which ones you want to further view.
If his son was Robert born about 1818, than the only record that comes close to it would be Church Baptism Linn Robert 1807 Co. Derry. It may also be a relative of theirs who also named a son Robert, which would provide you with more information about the family.
I wish there was more to look at but that is all there is available online currently that has been digitized so you may want to go yourself to Ireland and research there or hire a researcher that lives there as I suggested to investigate further for you. I recommend you start with www.apgen.org for help.
We can only report to you what we can find in the available databases, if it exists online we will find it but since we can't create or find what doesn't exist this is the best we can do for you and we do it with as much service to you as we can.
I hope this has been helpful to you in some way and that you are satisfied at a minimum level of Good Service. Just let me know.
Please respond to let me know if the service was Okay?
