I have a ps3 and recently i have started getting a error

hello i have a ps3 and recently i have started getting a error code but it only happens on some games
JA: What's the make/model of your device? How old is it?
Customer: its a super slim ps3 and i think its about a year old
JA: How long has this been going on? What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: over a month i have even tried rebuilding the database and restoring the file system and it hasnt helped

That is a disc-read error. Have you performed any fixes related to a disc-read error?

I've tried restoring file system and database and nothing has worked

No, not a hard drive error. It's your optical drive not reading the game disc. That kind of error.

Has the optical drive been looked at?

No it hasn't but it reads some games but not others
