HI,We are trying to use our Wii set, but we get no power to the main box. Is there a reset button or procedure. Not sure if the box is gone or the transformer is gone. Tried the transformer in several outlets with no results
Already Tried: Unplugged and replugged power to box. tried box and transformer on several outlets. Replaced 2032 battery in console unit.
Hello and welcome. Sometime it's just a matter of letting the power supply pico-fuse to re-crystallize (this can take up to 20 hour in extreme case). For this the power supply need to be disconnected from the AC power. If nothing work, you need to identify if the power supply is the problem or the console, you can borrow a friend power supply for testing. If the power supply is the problem you can get a new one from Nintendo:http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/retail/index.jsp?submenu=retail-replacementYou may also be able to get one at those places but a power supply is not a common accessory:http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/retail/retail_retailers.jspYou may also find very cheap one on amazon.com but those are not like the original and are of very low quality and will fail far more often.To prevent those power supply failure, a power bar with a surge protector is a good idea.
