Do u have a real solution to PS3 error 8002F14E?
Already Tried: Everything posted that doesnt require disassembly
Hi, my name is XXXXX XXXXX it would be my pleasure to help with your issue. If you've already done your research on this issue, I'm sure you already know this but the issue has to do with a firmware update and it's a bug in the update where the Blu Ray drive isn't found during the update. Have you already tried booting the PS3 in safe mode and restoring the file system. This is about the most un-instrusive way that I know of that might fix your issue.Another option would be to completely wipe the hard drive and reload the entire operating system. The only downside to this is that you will effectively be resetting the system to factory defaults and will lose any saved game data and downloads on the hard drive.Let me know what you've already tried and I'll do everything I can to try and help you get it resolved. If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask! Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. IF you feel the need to rate "helped a little" or "I expected more", please stop and reply to me via the CONTINUE CONVERSATION button with the issue you have. I will be happy to continue further and do everything I can to provide you with the service you seek.
Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX done some research and most people are experiencing the loop in the "60-70" percent range of the update, mine occurs at 8%. I know how to get to safe mode but when it gives me the two quick beeps and I release the button, the screen stays blank. I've got the new update and saved correctly on a USB flash drive but the system won't recognize it and keeps doing the update loop.I've also plugged directly into modem to bypass router and wifi, still no luck.Any other suggestions ?
Relist: Other. It's been nearly 2 hours without an answer to my 1st reply
Sorry for the delay. It's late at night here where I am and I had to get something to eat. If you cannot get your PS3 into safe mode, then either your operating system is corrupted or your hard drive is damaged beyond repair. This system is most likely bricked and will have to be sent in for repair if it will not enter safe mode. Have you been trying to load custom firmware or mod the unit using one of the many software mods?

I haven't tried to do anything creative like upload or modify anything. I rarely use it, but wanted to play one night and then it tells me there's an update, so I say ok and start the update and find myself here. Worked fine before I tried to update - a real shame to know that a recommended update can crash your system like this. Unless you think any of the You Tube processes would work (which have some disassembly) ? I guess I'll have to bite the bullet. Hard to believe - the systems only six months old and like I said - I barely use it but have enjoyed til now. Thanks for your help - I'll leave positive rating for you. Please reply back if you think there's any merit to the You Tube disassembly options prior to sending for service. Thanks again!
