I have a cable box connected to my Magnavox 25TS56CI. I'm trying to hook up a wii console- but I get no picture-help!
Optional Information: Make: Phillips Magnavox Model: 25TS56CI Already Tried: I have tried connecting the Wii AV cable to the cable box but only outputs exist. I tried plugging in the Wii AV cable to the inputs on the TV still no picture. I've tried the highest and lowest channels and still no picture.

Ok this is an easy fix. Install the Wii directly to the TV. make sure the Wii is off.. Make sure the Video Cable is connected to the YELLOW port on the back of the TV. this is for picture. The other cables are for sound. And we don't need to hook them up until we are done.
Set the TV to Video1 or AV1 on some models it may even say AUX... then turn on the wii... you will now have a picture. You may proceed to hook up the audio at this point. Thanks and have a great day!

What am I doing wrong? I installed the wii directly to the TV with the wii off. I connected the video cable to the yellow port on the back of the TV. There was no sound or picture on the TV, I pressed AUX and turned wii on- still no picture. Plugged in audio- still no sound. (This was all done with the TV off initially. ) When I tried the same instructions with the TV on first, all I got was TV picture and audio- no wii.

My response must not have gone through from yesterday. The wii is brand new. The TV is the only TV in the house (and in great condition)- so that's why I'm trying to get it hooked up. I don't have another TV to hook it up to to check but Wii support told me that they have no incompatibility issues with any Magnavox TV's. They referred me to just answers for the specific hook up for my TV make and model. Is there anyone else that might have experience with Magnnavoxes?
We can check... I will opt out... but personally just to make sure there isn't a defective Wii out there or your AV connection are not shorted you may want to carry it over to a neighbors house or try to use another av device on the TV like a VCR... I will opt out. Thanks for using JAKeithPS... the model that I saw only have Audio Connection and no video 25TS56CI.
