Hello and thank you for entrusting me to assist you. Traditional background checks will only give you information on the name you've been given. Obviously, if the person you're dealing with is using a fake name, then the information from a traditional background check will be of no use to you. The only reliable way of determining whether someone is real is to examine the situation you find yourself in with them. This is so because scams tend to take certain highly predictable forms that are obvious to the trained eye. So, with this in mind, would you please kindly tell me how you know this person and what they are asking you to do? Also, can you please tell me if they are located in or plan to be traveling to west Africa (a hot spot for cyber criminals)? I very much look forward to helping you on this matter.
