Hello, Are you saying that you have met someone claiming to be a doctor in the military stationed in Syria, but he has sent you the photo of somebody else? If so, you've met yourself a military romance scammer. Has he asked you for money or for gifts yet. or indicated he'd like to meet you but you would have to help him arrange for his leave and/or his transportation? Is he claiming to have a son, daughter or friend somewhere in West Africa who needs your help? If so, this is a further sign of scam and these are just typical excuses to try to get to your money that military romance scammers use over and over again. If this is what you are experiencing, you need to cease all contact with this person and report him to the police. If he's claiming to be in the US military, you need to report him also to the FBI at If he says he's a member of the UK military, then you can report him to If this is not what you're experiencing, please explain your relationship with Dr. William Maxwell John and tell me what branch of what country's armed forces he is claiming to be and what your question is. If you have photos of him, you can upload them with your reply.
