selltradebuytradingpost.com what have you heard? Can I do anything from Canada?
Hello and thank you for entrusting me to answer your question. My goal is to answer your question completely and thoroughly and to provide excellent service. This is certainly a scam.A search of the domain registry for this company's website reveals that the site has only been operational since June 19, 2012--that's less than three weeks. Obviously, this is an incredibly short time for any business to be operational and indicative of a scam, since scammers tend to frequently change business names in order to avoid the accumulation of negative reviews. This fact is particularly concerning in light of Sell Trade Buy's claim to have been in business since 2008. Obviously this cannot be true if their website only existed since three weeks ago.The website is also registered through a domain proxy, which conceals the true identity of the website owner. While there are sometimes legitimate reasons for registering one's site through a proxy service, this is also the sign of a scam whose perpetrator does not want to be tracked down. They also state on their contact page that they do not offer phone service. This is a MASSIVE red flag of a business that is trying to make it as hard as possible for consumers to complain. Most importantly, the entire Sell Trade Buy website appears to be have plagiarized from here: http://netconsignor.com/about_us.htmlCompare that to the Sell Trade Buy site here: http://selltradebuytradingpost.com/SellTradeBuyTradingPostISAPI.dllSellTradeBuyFor595452015259578SellTradeBuyFor9382.504SellTradeBuy.experience328344.t_ISPI.dlllEnter.Info_siteid.00SellTradeBuyTradingPost.dlllEN/About%20Us.htmlThe text is identical. They both claim to be "cofounded by Peter Becker and Erik Holcomb in December, 2008." Literally everything is the same but the name of the companies and layout of the sites are different. This is plainly and obviously a scam operation designed to take your money but not provide you with any product. Accordingly, you would be extremely wise to avoid any further involvement with Sell Trade Buy.I sincerely XXXXX XXXXX this information helps you and I wish you the best.If you do not have any further concerns, I would be very grateful if you would give my answer a positive rating and click submit, as this is the only way I will receive credit for assisting you. If you have any additional concerns that you would like me to address, please feel free to let me know by hitting the REPLY or CONTINUE CONVERSATION button and I will be more than happy to continue assisting you. Finally, please bear in mind that none of the above constitutes legal advice nor is any attorney client relationship created between us.Thank you and very kindest regards. If I have already been suckered is there any recourse for me living in Canada ( The Province of Alberta) to recoup my money? Unfortunately for me the money was sent via Western Union...I sense I will have to chalk this is up to stupidity and greed on my part and a lesson learned
Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately, once money is sent via Western Union there is no way to retrieve it. That is why WU is the preferred method of payment for scammers--it is essentially the equivalent to handing them cash, and once they walk away they are gone for good.Conceivably, it is possible to report the website to the police and have them track down the owner through the IP address used to upload the content, but unless tens of thousands of dollars were lost, they would likely not take on such an extensive investigation. It may be worth a try though.Again, I sincerely XXXXX XXXXX this information helps you and I wish you the best. If I have answered your question, I would be very grateful for a positive rating of my service so that I may receive credit for assisting you.LegalPro5441095.6590126157
