I am inquiring of the validity of "International Gaming Board and Lottery Commission".They got in touch with me and said that I had won 3rd place, which was $275.00.I was told that I had to purchase a form of some kind and that they would be sending the check by UPS AND A Highway Patrolman.I would like to validate this, please. Also, if this is a legitimate company, just what percentage does the IRS get?
Already Tried: Nothing
No this is not a valid lottery. First of all, it would cost them more to pay a highway patrolman than the $275 you allegedly won. There is no record of the International Gaming Board and Lottery Commission anywhere, which is further indication you are being scammed. Furthermore, if they ask you for any bank account information or advance payments to release your money this is further evidence of a scam because when you legitimately win something you do not have to pay to receive your winnings. The IRS does not take anything, you have to file IRS forms and declare it on your taxes and pay taxes as income at your current tax rate.

I mistakenly put in the wrong amount, it was $275,000.00, but as you said it is a scam.
It is a company that does not exist anywhere except in these phone calls. Also, people do not win money in contests they never actually entered either. There are no random worldwide drawings of people who never entered a contest.
