Ben Jones :

Hello and thank you for your question, which I will be happy to assist you with. There are a number of similar scams circulating, where a consumer orders a product (or a free trial of a product) and gives their credit card details in the process, only to find that they either get nothing and get charged, or get what was promised but keep getting charged more than initially agreed.

As you paid by credit card, your best bet at this stage is to contact your credit card company and dispute the transaction. You get automatic fraud protection with credit cards so they should be able to issue a chargeback on the card and try to claw the money back. So contact them as soon as possible and flag this transaction as possible fraud.

Apart from that, any other methods of recovery have no guarantee and may end up costing you more in the process and wasting your time. For example trying to sue this company may be one way of trying to recoup what you have lost but even if you win there is no guarantee they will pay you back so I suggest you try and avoid going down that route if possible, at last not for the amount involved
