Hi, My name is XXXX XXX I'd be happy to answer your questions today.
We have recently implemented a new rating and feedback system. Please be aware that you are rating my courtesy and service as a professional, and not necessarily whether you like the information that you are receiving. If you have any questions whatsoever, or there is anything I can clarify for you, please temporarily bypass the rating system by clicking “Continue the Conversation” or "Reply" Clicking either of the lowest two options reflects poorly on me (and not whether the law favored your situation), so please reply to me if there is anything else I can do to help before choosing those options. I appreciate your patience while we work out the kinks.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of home scam artists operate, there is no meaningful way to keep a current database on all of the names and false identities they use. They way to determine whether someone is trying to scam you is therefore to look at the behavior, and the things they're telling you, not who she says she is.
With that said, what is it about her that makes you wonder if she might be trying to scam you?
Our chat has ended, but you can still continue to ask me questions here until you are satisfied with your answer. Come back to this page to view our conversation and any other new information. What happens now? If you haven’t already done so, please rate your answer above. Or, you can reply to me using the box below.
It looks like we're having some issues with chat. Can you let me know what makes you wonder if this person might be scamming you?
she has asked fore money to purchase a phone.said she use to live in cheyenne,wy u.s.a her profile on mate 1 stated she was liveing in wy. wasnt till recent that she said she was liveing in Nigeria
Any time you meet someone online who claims to be a US or UK citizen temporarily living and/or working in Nigeria, it's a scam. If the scam artists were telling the truth, there would be more Americans in Nigeria than there are in Rhode Island. It's just a way of getting your interest and sucking you in. If there really was a US citizen living or working in Nigeria who had an actual emergency that meant that she needed money, the U.S. Embassy has ways to help her. There would be no need for a total stranger to help (plus, it's weird that these people never have any friends or family members). This first site has a list of common lies told by scam artists, and the second helps you recognize a scammer, but the botXXXXX XXXXXne is - never send money out of the country.http://romancescams.org/TypesOfScams.htmlhttp://www.hoax-slayer.com/internet-dating-scams.shtmlhttp://www.datingnmore.com/fraud/scam_database.htm
