Hello.
When you say you just asked a question, do you mean you asked a question here on Just Answer?
Can you explain the situation a bit more? Thank you so much.
YES i asked them about the email adress XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX because i just seen her on a scam report then i had to pay and i might have done things wrong
I see. I think I'm a little confused because your account does not shw that you have asked any other questions.
Do you care to ask your question here? Do you need me to process a refund for you?
Sorry for my confusion here.
The email adress on the scam report was different ok i just started the account i thought i had but maybe the account was not active yet im sure this is my fault somehow how should i proceed?
Do you know how to access your previous account? Or what the user name is XX XXX account? If so, we can process a refund there, or go back to that question and process a refund here, that way you're not charged twice...
lets process a refund there if there was any charges and continue with this could you look up that email i think the scam report said Jelena@yahoo .com i have been talking to whoever she is coutiosly then seen her on the scar report from russia
ya i cant pell good never could
That's okay!
I cannot locate your previous question, but I will contact the moderators here to ensure that you are refunded on that other question when we are done here.
In the mean time, can you please explain a little bit more about your situation?
Has this woman requested that you send her money for any purpose?
that will be fine no i was proceding with caution trying to see if i could find anything out about her then i seen her picture on a scam report under a defferent e mail and then that led me to you
I see. Can you send me a link to that picture?
Thank you for all your patience, by the way.
that is the picture she sent me and one of the ones on the scam report i know thats probably not a link but i was proud i was able to do that
I do not see anything.
the email on google report is XXXXX@XXXXXX.XXX
Okay, based on the information that you have provided me, I can tell you with certainty that this is in fact a scam and your intuitions are correct.
This is a common variation of the standard online romance scam.
The scammer steals the picture of an attractive woman and poses as that person on dating sites.
They develop relationships with men and then eventually request that the men send money for them to come "visit" or in response to a tragedy of some kind.
Of course, they have no intention of visiting because they are not the person they claim to be.
I have gave her no more than my email and phone number do i need to worry about anything do you know who she really is
These scammers commonly pose as Russian women, and in fact, Russian dating scams are a breed all their own. See this link for more information. http://www.russian-dating-scams.com/scams/first_things_to_know.htm See also this warning from the FTC: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2010/11/onlinedating.shtm
If all you gave was your email and phone number there would be no concern for identity theft or anything else.
It would be different had you give your bank account number, social security number, or something along those lines.
You should immediately cease contact with this person. Since you haven't given them any money you will escape from this without any harm.
Does this answer your question?
How did you know so quick it was a scam ? then that answeres my quistion Thankyou very much !!!
As a fraud examiner, I see this exact scam perpetrated all the time. It fits the exact mold for the scam.
The fact that her picture appeared on a scam database only further confirmed this conclusion.
Had you continued talking to this woman, she would have surely requested money from you.
That is ture back to american women i guess Ok thankyou have a nice day
You are very welcome. Please kindly remember to "accept" my answer.
