2007 explorer 4.0 belt guide pulley is much smaller than the on crank pulley is spalling. the part appears to be a synthetic composite that is pressed onto the harmonic balance and is NOT a part of the crank pulley.and
JA: Have you checked the fuel supply? And are all the spark plugs working?
Customer: No this car is 100% solar no need gas or spark plugs
JA: Are you fixing your Explorer yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: need info on the sleeve that is pressed onto the crank pulley that the belt rides on.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: I might have a mongrel engine something different from the standard ford 4.0

so if the pulley outer is spinning on the inner then this usually means that the belt has been slipping and has so overheated the sleeve

so the usual route would be to replace the entire unit

alternatively you could press the outer off of the pulley and refit it with some loctite 648 which is an very strong anaerobic adhesive and generally excellent for this sort of thing

as its an engine part then it will only be available from Ford directly
