I just went out to start it and it won't start or turnover

Customer Question

I just went out to start it and it won't start or turnover or even click - nothing. But the lights come on as normal and oil and coolant are fine. No oil leak that I can see either.
JA: Have you ever replaced the gaskets? Maybe the hoses?
Customer: Ford focus 2002. No I have never had those replaced but previous owners may have.
JA: Are you fixing your Focus yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am outside a station in the middle of Spain with no tools. I am looking for a quick fix or I will have to call recovery in Spain. Not good.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It was perfect a hour ago. Went for lunch and just gone. Could it have reacted to a jolt or someone hitting it. In terms of the fuel injection system I mean.

Hey how are you

If at any point during our conversation you like to speak to me on the phone ,feel free to ask me or you can request it on the screen at your convenience and I will call you right away.

is there a check engine light on ?

have you had a diagnostic scan and retrieved the fault codes ?

We need correct Fuel pressuer & good Spark for the engine to run correctly ?

Do you have a test light so we can check for spark ?

Do you have fuel pressure tester to check for fuel ?

are you looking at fixing this yourself or looking to know the most possible cause of this issue and taking it to repair shop for the work ?

Do you have any prior experience in electrical troubleshooting and testing with a test light for power & ground ?

IF YOU LOOKING A QUICK FIX ,LET TRY RESETING IT

Master reset Procedure

1- Disconect Battery Cables ( Negative & Positive Cables )you can use any electrical wire as an extension if battery cables don't reach .

2- Hold cables Together for 60 secs ,then let go

3- Wait 15 minutes

4- Make sure all doors are closed

5- Reconnect battery Cables

6- Lock & unlock the vehicles using the key from driver door side (if you have a key fob with no blade key, just lock & unlock using the key fob buttons)

7- Enter the vehicle and attempt to start

Hi Chad this doesn't really help in my situation. It's too broad. I'd need a diagnosis that I can take with me. Thanks anyway.

sorry , i will be guessing if I told you this is the problem, sorry not enough info for me to make an accurate answer

start with basics , do you have 12 volt battery, get a voltmeter to check

is alternator charging 14 volts ?

buy a OBDII reader and retrieve fault codes ?

we need this so we can narrow it down :),wish there was a one answer to it

Good luck with it
