Mk 7 transit 2.4 just noticed oil in the water bottle. trying to establish if I keep driving it what will happen. possible head gasket or oil cooler problem from what ive seen. I do not know exactly its been like this but I'm sure it was ok about 3 weeks ago.

Customer: yes and its 2.4 diesel

hello

I'd suggest to carefully monitor the oil and coolant levels to see how they are changing and I'd also do a compression test across all cylinders as they should all be within 10-15 psi of each other

if its using a lot of coolant and the oil in the water increases at a rapid rate then you have to stop driving it to rectify the issue

if the compression measurements are OK then it would be wise to replace the oil cooler as the next step

and if the compressions are low then it would be worth trying a bottle of this
