2006 FORD f150 - While driving, warning lights all come on,

Customer Question

2006 FORD f150 - While driving, warning lights all come on, tach and speedo needles peg to the right, lasts from 10 seconds to a minute or so and goes away. Happening more and more often. Any ideas?
JA: Just to clarify, what are the exact lights you're talking about?
Customer: The warning lights on the dash, engine, wrench, ABS, etc
JA: Are you fixing your F150 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Had a problem with the alternator, after this started, went out while driving down the road, replaced it hoping it was this problem also, still have issues
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: nope, thanks

It sounds like you either have the instrument cluster starting to go out, or a bad ground/power source to the instrument cluster.

When the problem occurs, does the vehicle store any trouble codes?
