When you first attempt to start the vehicle, just turn the ignition switch to the ON position, does the anti theft light blink fast or does it go out like it should? thank you .

I managed to get the light to stop
by pressing the button on dash

still, starter won't turn.....
Expert:  Edward replied 1 month ago.

I follow you, I'm speaking of the anti theft light in the instrument cluster, does it go out after a second or two when you turn the key just to the ON position?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
it did not stop until I pressed on the button below....now stopped

I am alone and it is dark now.....

Alright, I'm not sure exactly which button your referring to unless it has some type of aftermarket alarm system. Let me opt out and perhaps another expert is familiar with this system. Thank you.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
no, it is the original bypass button below steering wheel
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I pressed it until I heard beepbeep and the light went off
Expert:  A. Penland replied 1 month ago.

The problem is the aftermarket alarm system on your Taurus. Ford did not install a bypass button on their vehicles. The aftermarket alarm is causing your starting problem. They are usually mounted under the dash on the drivers side and is spliced into the starter circuit for the ignition switch to interrupt it to stop the vehicle from starting. The alarm system will have to be removed and the factory wiring spliced back together at the ignition switch on the steering column to repair this problem.

ok, thanks, ***** ***** don't know what is there...lol

The alarm company will zip tie it or tape the black box to the metal frame under the drivers side of the dash. If you are not able to do the repair, call around to a couple of automotive stereo/alarm shops and see if they can do it for you.
