I just want to know when I change wiper control module does anything have to be programed or do I have to use a scanner

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner till early morning.

I assume your calling the GEM module the wiper module since that is the only module used by the wiper system. A new GEM module replacement installed does require a dealer equivalent diagnostic tool to program it.

One of the things I ask is can I do it using a scanner because I am planning to get a scanner
Expert:  Chris (aka- Moose) replied 2 months ago.

I do not understand why you rated me as a poor tech for providing just what you asked for.
