Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner till early morning.

The DVD player is it OEM?

When the headphones are plugged up does the sound from the speakers shut off?

Are you using the headphone jacks that are OEM or did your radio come with jacks?

Chris

The DVD is OEM. The headphones are wireless. The DVD audio is not effected by anything I do with the headphones. I can't get any sound to headphones at all. None of the controls on the rear of the middle console effect anything either. There are headphone jacks there as well and when headphones are plugged into it there is no difference. No sound at all to the headphones. Hard wired or wireless. The head unit is the only after market equipment and it does have dual zone capabilities. Primary (speakers) radio and secondary (headphones) DVD audio.I just took it to the installer to see if it was a wire issue and they double checked wires and say everything is connected properly.

Can I assume there was not a headphone issue prior to the radio swap?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
That is correct.

Thanks, ***** ***** confirms there is a compatibility issue with your new radio and the rear control unit and DVD player. I assume the rear control unit wiring was not messed with and its still powering up. The DVD player is partially communicating with your radio but it is not allowing the RCU to make changes to the DVD player. Below is a wire diagram and the Ford diag but that is based on a Ford radio being used.
