2000 Ford Ranger flex fuel; wonʻt idle. Will start. Replaced fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs, distributor cap. Still wonʻt idle. Inertia switch is fine. What next to check?
JA: Is the fuel filter an external one, or is it inside the tank?
Customer: internal
JA: Are you fixing your Ranger yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yup. Replaced spark plugs, distributor cap, fuel filter, fuel pump

whoops, sorry, I thought you said fuel pump. The fuel pump is internal. The fuel filter is external and attached to the frame.
