I am changing from a stock intake manifold to an aluminum

hi, I am changing from a stock intake manifold to an aluminum intake- and I was told there is a difference between the two gasket setups- is this a fact? or fiction? thanks, Alan.
JA: Is this your first time dealing with this issue? What size is your engine?
Customer: yes and Ford 460
JA: What is the model/year of your Ford?
Customer: the block is 1970 , the body is 68, the frame is 74 and the 460 is lincoln
JA: What year is your Ford?
Customer: I just told you
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i am changing the cam, the lifters, the pushrods, and the distributer, along with the intake manifold

Customer: the distributor is being changed to a gm single wire type
