Customer Question

well it started out with getting bad milage and yesterday we realized it was losing diesel
JA: When did you last clean or replace your air filter? And are the oxygen sensors in good working order?
Customer: looks like the fuel line on the passage side is broken so we picked up the part last night figured while we were in there we would change out the glows plugs... we have a F350 2000 7.3
JA: Are you fixing your F350 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes we are working on it ourselves
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: we bought the new fuel line last night at the local ford store and we bought the valve cover gaskets last night as well along with the glow plugs we were wondering if we should clean the fuel injectors and change out the O rings while we were in there it has a little over 300,000 miles on it

Expert:  david craig replied 5 months ago.

i dont know dude. i only answer questions. you need to contact customer service.... im not going to tell you to do anything until you check to see if there is diesel in the oil and if there is, its gonna be a lot more then replacing orings.

Expert:  david craig replied 5 months ago.

Welcome, I'm Chris (aka Moose), my normal schedule online is around lunch and after dinner till early morning.

Another common failing thing while worming in this area is the fuel heater in the base of the fuel filter housing.
