Customer Question

2001 Focus ZTS 2.0 ZTEC, accelerates, take foot off throttle, holds speed or continues to accelerate, monitor shows closed throttle, IAC at 55-65%. What's going on, new. IAC valve
JA: How old is the transmission? Have you checked the fuel filters?
Customer: Transmission original, shifting normally, fuel filter replaced two oil changes ago.
JA: Are you fixing your Focus yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Replaced PCV hoses and PCV valve to correct DTC P0171, corrected. Replaced IAC for stalling. Current problem after IAC replacement.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Engine speed will hold at 1400 RPM at a stop with foot on brake, then suddenly drop to idle, will stall if A/C on.
