Customer Question

I have a 1985 Ford Pickup. It has been running great. Two days ago I went to start it and while cranking the engine it did not start. It always starts after only a few turns of the engine. I tried it again and as soon as the ignition went to the run position it started. Now it starts when the ignition goes to the run position, but it does not run smooth. What went wrong and how do I fix it?

Hi, I am Mike, welcome. I'm reviewing your question.

I think you have a faulty ignition switch.

I did change the key lock, but have the same condition. I will replace the ignition switch and see if that solves the problem.
Thanks
