Customer Question

I have a 2014 Explorer Limited with 47,000 miles. It is garaged every night and is always serviced at the Ford dealership. When I went out this evening, there was a clicking sound under the hood, dash lights were not working correctly, and the starter button wasn't working. I went out an hour or so later, and the battery was dead. Help

Hello and welcome!

My name is ***** ***** I can assist you with your question.

This condition is caused by one of three things.

1. Battery low on a charge due to something draining battery

2. Bad connection at the battery

3. Bad battery

If your battery has not been replaced, it may be under warranty if it tests out bad. I would start by charging the battery and getting it load tested and replace as needed.
