What exactly is your question?

If the fuel filter is plugged?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

That's just what I do not really understand. SInce the part is not just a filter, but also a fuel PUMP, is it less likely that it would be clogged, as opposed to if it were only a FILTER. First how would I tell and could I maybe blow it with air compressor?

Lets back up a bit. I assume the engine does not start correct?

Does the engine start and run on starting fluid?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

Wont start, will make a short starting try, but wont run, I have not tried starting fluid

Expert:  AMEDEE replied 5 months ago.

Have you checked the fuel pressure up at the engine?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.

To be honest, no. With My mechanical and know-how ablilty and ownership of tools did not even occur to me

Got it.. no problem.

To be honest, it sounds like you are kind of shooting in the dark as to what is wrong with the vehicle. If I were you, I would do a bit more testing first before I go after one specific component.. like the fuel pump/filter. You might not even have a fuel delivery problem..
