07 mkz burning up #2 ignition coils
JA: Have you checked the battery lately?
Customer: new battery
JA: Are you fixing your MKZ yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: i am tuning it for missfire issue and replaced all coils and plugs and 10 min it burnt up # 2 again
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hi there.

Most likely, the coil driver inside the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is stuck on - you can confirm this with a scope or by rigging a LED light.

Ford knows this is an issue and has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 13-417) to that effect. The repair includes replacing the PCM and all 6 ignition coils.
