Are you comfortable with checking for power at the solenoid under the truck with the key on park brake engaged and the PTO switch on?

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
I have done so and yes shows I have power
Customer: replied 1 month ago.
No problems with it before as I said it worked the last time I was in the truck. When I got in it today and went to use it it did not
Expert:  Ray M. replied 1 month ago.

Have someone engage the PTO while you are under the truck with the engine off to see if the solenoid id clicking, if it is then there is a problem with the hydraulic supply from the trans, or the valve in the solenoid may be stuck.

Customer: replied 1 month ago.
Sure does. We tried it a few times and it clicked every time
Expert:  Ray M. replied 1 month ago.

Then it is likely the valve in the solenoid has stuck and needs to be replaced, make sure the trans oil is at the correct level and it works normal first.

Would oil/dust build up have anything to do with it possibly. I wanna smack the back of my head for asking that and not cleaning them off and trying but doesn't hurt to ask
Expert:  Ray M. replied 1 month ago.

Oil and dust should not have any effect on the system, as it is designed to operate in dusty and dirty conditions.
