I have a 2005 ford Taurus with a 3.0 Vulcan and want to

Customer Question

I have a 2005 ford Taurus with a 3.0 Vulcan and want to install a 1999 Duratec 3.0. Can this be done?
JA: Are you fixing your Taurus yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I am. I have replaced the heads and gaskets myself twice now in two years, keeps blowing gaskets so I'm assuming its a bad block.
JA: Is this your first time dealing with this issue? What size is your engine?
Customer: I currently have the 3.0L Vulcan
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no
