1998 windstar 3.8--my hvac comes out of the defroster vents.

1998 windstar 3.8--my hvac comes out of the defroster vents. I replaced blendoor actuator the selector switch on the dash. The vacuum line is connected in the engine compartment. iam out of options. "please help"

You have a vacuum leak for the AC controls. Follow the vacuum line from the engine to the passenger side of the firewall. There should be a vacuum canister mounted on the firewall that the vacuum line connects to along with a check valve where the vacuum line goes into the firewall and into the dash area to the AC controls.
