Hello. My name is ***** ***** I am happy to assist you today. Give me just a moment to review your post, and I'll be right back with the help you need.

Expert:  Ron replied 3 months ago.

Manny, have you been able to scan the computer system to see if there are any fault codes setting?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.

Yes, I just scanned my truck myself.

On the way home we "Tricked" the truck by turning it off and then back on. When the truck turned back on it had its full power, however, that only lasted about 15-20 miles and then the same thing happened. So we stopped and started the truck again so we could make it home.

Truck Codes:

P2002

P244A

P0088

FORD Codes:

P2002

P0703

P244A

P0088

KOEO Codes:

P1464

KOER Codes:

P1184

P1464

What where the fault code and or codes you retrieved when you scanned the system?

Expert:  Ron replied 3 months ago.

Okay they just cam up, let me have a look.

Expert:  Ron replied 3 months ago.

The code P2002 can be set due to any of the following,

  • Air Cleaner Element
  • Leaking Charge Air Cooler (CAC)
  • Leaking Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Hoses
  • Restricted Diesel Oxidation Catalyst
  • Restricted Diesel Particulate Filter(DPF)

In order to determine the cause you are going to need to do some testing. See the steps to do this in the link below. Let start first with dealing with the code P2002 and if any codes rest after get it resolved we can work from there.

The code P244A set in most cases if your running a tunner.
Customer: replied 3 months ago.

I am not running a tuner but I'm seriously considering one now.

In the .pdf it asks you to check for air leaks. How do you check air hoses for leaks?

I would also like your "off the record" opinion on something.

With all this stuff going on I'm considering a "Delete Pipe" and "Tuner" for my truck. My truck does Not go to emissions.

What do you think?

Expert:  Ron replied 3 months ago.

You check for air leaks with doing a good visual making sure all hoses are in place and any clamps are tight.
