Customer Question

I have a 2007 ford f150 crew cab. It has started giving me problems starting. I turn the key and nothing happens, no clicking, no sounds at all. If I run the shifter through the gears a couple of times it then seems to start but it is getting worse. Any ideas?

Sounds like the transmission range sensor. Have you tried starting in neutral?

it works sometimes and sometimes it does not.

Have you tried to adjust the selector lever cable?

Expert:  AZTechBrian replied 3 months ago.

Try to adjust that first. If it doesn't work then you will probably have to replace the transmission range sensor. If you'd like, I can send you the procedure for adjusting that
