Change. My transmission on a 2003 Ford Excursion 6.0 buy new transmission is fine when I start up and go but in a couple hundred feet when shifting , 1 get to about 3rd gear shifts hard and then the tow light comes on and starts blinking, man takes off like if it's stuck in 3rd gear but when I shut off the vehicle the process starts all over again

you may need a professional grade scan tool not a autozone basic tool

The first thing to do is get the computer checked for trouble codes to keep from replacing good parts. The trans range sensor on the drivers side of trans were linkage attach's is a possible problem
