We have a 2008 E-450 6.0 liter diesel engine which looses

Customer Question

We have a 2008 E-450 6.0 liter diesel engine which looses power sporadically. It does flash codes ranging from low to high voltage and ignition key in circuit fault, general 2 control circuit etc. This is on an ambulance. No one can pinpoint the problem. The truck has been in the shop twice for turbo repairs.

Hello, when you say you lose power is it electrical power or engine power?

Does the engine run rough when you lose power or just have no boost?

No boost

I would first check the map sensor nipple going into the intake manifold. If it is plugged with carbon you will lose boost. Also if the EBP sensor tube is restricted you will lose boost. These are the two items I would suspect for not setting any boost code.
