Customer Question

The fan has an intermittent problem on my 2008 F350. It doesn't matter if the A/C is on AUTO, or one of the manual settings the fan will not work. After the truck has run for some time it will start to blow and work normal. It seems to be a heat related issue. It works fine in the AM, but after lunch when the inside of the cab has warmed up it will not work for a while. The A/C compressor is working though. If I drive with the A/C on NORM it'll blow cold air from outside through the vents.Any ideas? Is there some sort of fan control module somewhere that may have a loose plug or could be bad?
JA: Have you checked the coolant level? Have you checked for a leak in the radiator?
Customer: Is this an automated response. I don't have a radiator problem
JA: Are you fixing your F350 yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I have replaced the blower motor resistor 3 times in the last year.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

have you checked power to the fan with a test light or a volt meter?
