I need advice from a Ford truck expert. What kind or brand

Customer Question

I need advice from a Ford truck expert. What kind or brand of snap ring pliers does Ford use to remove the snap ring on a hub axle. Its on a 2006 F 250 4x4.We have not found a pair strong enough to get it off, and don't want to spend a fortune if there is some trick to getting it off

Expert:  AMEDEE replied 3 months ago.

Yes Sir. I would go with the snap ring set in the second link I sent you.

Sounds good.

we ordered the snap ring pliers in the second link you provided and unfortunately they wouldn't work because when we tried to spread the snap ring the hinge would hit on the hub and not allow it to spread. So we had to resort to altering some needle nose pliers.
