Customer Question

I have a 2001 ford escort zx2..there is a ticking noise when I accelerate and after driving home from work (roughly 40 miles) it idles more rough than it normally does and if I sit in idle for too long it will die..this has happened a few times before.. and occasionally when I start it up it doesn't want to stay running and chugs a bit before it actually starts going. Plugs and wires? Need to charge the battery? Air filter?
