I have a 2002 Taurus the a.c runs well whikeni am driving but when I stop the ac will blow hot air and the engine will ideal up and down
JA: Have you checked the coolant? Have you noticed any leaking?
Customer: No leaking coolant is fine I changed the idle sensor thinking it could be that but nothing
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes I am only changed the sensor mentioned
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Check engine light is on as well as the oiil light

Hi there.

Does the engine overheat at idle? Is the cooling fan working properly at idle? When you say "idle sensor", do you have a part number for it? Are there any codes stored in the onboard computer's memory?
